Laura Prokop serves as Compensation director for MRA – The Management Association. Laura has over 15 years of human resources experience with expertise in designing base and variable compensation plans, developing human capital management strategies, and implementing enterprise-wide HRIS projects. Her experience ranges from small privately held companies to global organizations in the financial services, healthcare, and retail industries.
Prior to joining MRA, Laura led a team of compensation professionals charged with maintaining internal pay equity and external competitiveness for over 130,000 employees nationwide. Laura has helped a wide variety of organizations align their human capital management with their strategic business goals. Laura has a proven track record of:
- Developing, implementing, and managing an array of compensation programs that include base pay, variable compensation, and sales commission plans.
The programs drive organizational goals while maintaining compliance with government regulations.
- Implementing HR technologies across the enterprise including Employee and Manager Self Service application, designing system interfaces between third party vendors, and performance management systems.
- Implementing and managing benefit programs that include outsourcing leave of absence programs and integration of acquired companies benefit platforms.
Laura holds a B.A. in Managerial Accounting with a minor in Computer Science from Alverno College, Milwaukee, WI. Laura holds Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) designation and is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
