A Certified Master Trainer whose background in the hospitality industry is evident, Janet is known as an approachable and enthusiastic facilitator. For 20 years, Janet has been following her passion for people development; helping them realize and cultivate their potential and positively impact business performance. Leadership, customer service, and communication are her favorite topics.

Expertise

Janet acquired deep and broad experience rising through the ranks as a leader in turnaround management and transitioning staff during acquisitions. A subsequent position as a regional director of quality and training, supporting more than 100 hotels across the country, created rich learning experiences that she incorporates into the classes she instructs.

Key Accomplishments

  • Achieved certificate in organization development through the Southeast Wisconsin Chapter of the American Society for Talent Development.
  • Led interactive workshops focused on creating an engaging learning environment that leads to self-discovery.
  • Contributed as a team member in the development of MRA’s flagship training series Principles of Leadership Excellence.

Education

Janet earned a bachelor’s degree in travel & tourism from Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana.

Professional and Community Activities

A board member and past president of the Southeast Wisconsin Chapter of the American Society for Talent Development (ASTD), Janet also spent several years coordinating the chapter’s special events team. Janet is an advocate for literacy, an active volunteer at a local food pantry, and treasurer for a nonprofit organization through her church.
