Keeping this mindset has allowed Michelle to consistently build rapport with all levels of individuals—from frontline employees to executive management. But being a successful business partner takes more than just building rapport—it also takes the skills to be a subject matter expert in the HR field, and the ability to understand an organization’s objectives. Michelle has consistently been recognized as an integral business partner, and an individual who strategically tailors and positions HR policies and practices to best serve the organization.

Expertise

Having worked in various business industries, from service to manufacturing, and insurance to banking, Michelle has earned respect as a contributing business partner for over 15 years. Spending the majority of her professional HR career in a generalist capacity, Michelle’s expertise can be found in performance management, HR policy, process and system design, recruitment, coaching and development, compensation, and payroll.

Key Accomplishments

  • Built and created a human resources department from the ground up
  • Designed and executed performance management systems to include performance reviews, performance development plans, and employee development programs
  • Created and instituted employee handbooks and policies to mitigate organizational risk
  • Realigned compensation structures and programs, along with salary administration practices
  • Successfully transitioned and implemented payroll systems to meet organizational needs

Education

Michelle holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a human resources major from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
