Both Minnesota and the federal government have laws that require employers to provide advance notice of certain changes in business operations. Where a provision for the state of Minnesota is more restrictive than the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), the Minnesota rule will govern and vice versa.
