As organizations began planning for 2025, they were focused on employee engagement surveys, employee experience initiatives, change management readiness, and succession planning. In our HR Trends for 2025 Survey, organizations reported a commitment to these priorities, aiming to create more employee-centric environments while leveraging various change management strategies to help drive success for their organization. Now that the year is underway, we have revisited the data to assess what has changed.
In the early months of 2025, the data shows that organizations have adapted to new challenges. Fifty-eight percent of organizations feel confident in their change management processes for this year, versus 29 percent reported when preparing for 2025. While the top three ways organizations approach change management didn’t change, more organizations reported they are focusing on employee feedback and adaptation (51 percent). When organizations communicate clearly and consistently, they can help employees understand the reasons behind changes, how they will be affected, and what steps should be taken. Without clear communication, employees may feel unsure of how to navigate change, leading to frustration, decreased morale, and possible disengagement.
